Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, the reality star best known for Jersey Shore, revealed in a TikTok post that she has been diagnosed with stage 1 cervical cancer, specifically adenocarcinoma, after recent medical testing.
The 38-year-old said the diagnosis came following a cone biopsy, a procedure where doctors remove a cone-shaped piece of cervical tissue to look for cancerous cells. The results confirmed the early-stage cancer, which she says was “not the news I was hoping for” but is “not the worst news” because it was caught early.
Nicole to have a PET scan to see if the cancer has spread. Depending on those results, she is likely to have a hysterectomy to remove her cervix and uterus, while keeping her ovaries. Chemo and radiation were mentioned as alternatives.
She’s been candid about struggling with abnormal Pap smear results for years and urged women to stay on top of their routine screenings, emphasizing early detection’s role in better outcomes.
Snooki also shared that 2026 hasn’t gone how she planned, but she’s determined to “tackle this” and has expressed gratitude for fan support.
Cervical cancer, especially when diagnosed at stage 1, is often more treatable and early detection through regular Pap smears and follow-up is key to finding abnormalities before they progress. Snooki’s story highlights the importance of not delaying medical appointments when abnormalities are found.
