Diana Ross has cancelled her “Star of the Seas” godmother role  due to “unforeseen circumstances.” The ship’s naming ceremony is scheduled to take place on August 20th in Port Canaveral.

The 81-year-old is set to embark on her ‘Beautiful Love’ U.S. tour on Aug. 16 2025. The second date of the tour, however, is scheduled for Aug. 28th in St. Louis, so there was seemingly no conflict between the upcoming tour and her appearance aboard Star of the Seas.

The Star of the Seas is Royal Caribbean’s newest class. It features five signature shows, 40 spots to dine and drink, relaxing pools and thrilling waterslides.

The mother of five and grandmother of eight just completed a U.K. arena tour in July.

Brooklyn, the son of  Sir David and Victoria Beckham,  has become estranged from his family.

The former England and Manchester United footballer has lived with his wife and former Spice Girl, Victoria in a mansion in the Cotswolds, west Oxfordshire.

The family have embraced the countryside life with Sir David rearing several animals.

Brooklyn has allegedly fallen out with the rest of the family, and did not attend Sir David’s 50th birthday celebrations.

Brooklyn reportedly did not invite any of his relatives to his secret vow renewal on Saturday, August 2, in Westchester County, New York, in an intimate ceremony.

Those left out include Brooklyn’s siblings, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper. The couple  first got married in 2022 .

This decision by Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz, left David and Victoria Becham heartbroken, according to reports.

No member of Brooklyn’s extended family knew about the wedding, or were invited.

Authour Andrew Lownie is working on a book entitled “The Rise And Fall Of The House Of York”. He has spent four years working on the book in which he has submitted hundreds of Freedom of Information requests to government departments.

The prince continue to attract a huge amount of attention, making him a difficult distraction for the Royal Family.

Mr Lownie says he got no sense of any appetite to reintroduce Prince Andrew into public life while doing his research.

He said “I don’t think he has any public future. I would say his private future is pretty limited too. I mean, he lives in Royal Lodge, he plays golf, watches TV, and presumably sees his grandchildren … he’s living the life of a retired man.”

The book issue comes as a new YouGov report found that he remains the most unpopular royal in the country, with 87% of people having a negative view of him. According to the survey, just 5% of people have a favourable view of the Duke of York.

The poll also found the royals are less popular with a younger audience.

Only 36% of 18 to 24-years-olds believe the monarchy is good for the country, compared with about 60% of Britons overall.

The generational difference is underlined given 81% of over-65s think Britain should continue to have a monarchy, but this falls with each age group to just 41% of 18 to 24s.
