
Diana Ross has cancelled her “Star of the Seas” godmother role due to “unforeseen circumstances.” The ship’s naming ceremony is scheduled to take place on August 20th in Port Canaveral.
The 81-year-old is set to embark on her ‘Beautiful Love’ U.S. tour on Aug. 16 2025. The second date of the tour, however, is scheduled for Aug. 28th in St. Louis, so there was seemingly no conflict between the upcoming tour and her appearance aboard Star of the Seas.
The Star of the Seas is Royal Caribbean’s newest class. It features five signature shows, 40 spots to dine and drink, relaxing pools and thrilling waterslides.
The mother of five and grandmother of eight just completed a U.K. arena tour in July.
