Daniel Boakye first escaped from custody while at West Middlesex University Hospital under guard but was recaptured shortly after.
The 21 year old then escaped a second time from Metropolitan Police custody at Lewisham Hospital, prompting an ongoing police search.
A Drill video has since appeared online showing the drill rapper who perform under the name Dsavv, rapping in what appears to be taunting police.
In the clip, shared on his Instagram and which features visuals tied to news coverage of his earlier escape, he references breaking out “like Modie” (a character from Top Boy) and boasts about champagne, cannabis and mocking law enforcement.
Police have appealed for information on his whereabouts, describing him as having absconded while at hospital for treatment. They’re reviewing the circumstances around how he managed to escape a second time.
Boakye, who is serving a six and a half year sentence, after being convicted for knifepoint robbery and cryptocurrency theft offences in London in 2023 remains wanted, and authorities are asking anyone with information to contact police.
There have also been arrests of people suspected of assisting the fugitive, though they’ve been released on bail pending further enquiries.
